Tara graduated from UT in 2002. After graduation she went to play WUSA soccer for the Atlanta Beat. After that league folded she went and played professional soccer in Chicago for the Chicago Cobras. Currently, Tara is back in Atlanta playing for the Atlanta Silverbacks and additionally, she has her own persona; training business for soccer, speed, agility, and strength.
